16 gallon hop spider

I have been looking at plans for the hop spider and wondering if it would work in my 16 gallon kettle when doing 5 gallon batches? not sure the 5 gallon paint strainer would be low enough in the kettle, all plans seem to rest on the top lip and I have seen none that are lower in the kettle.

Advise please.

I made one last weekend and have a 15 gallon spikes brew Kettle. The 5 gallon paint strainer I purchased at Lowes reaches to the bottom of the kettle

The paint strainers are long and narrow...The pot/keg is shorter and larger diameter.... This is why it works.
