i just realized that I should have posted this thread here instead of in the equipment section so I am just putting a link here on it.
I built a 15.5 gallon bottom draining mash/tun from an old Keg. It's insulated and has a nice wooden "jacket" around it and holds the temps very nicely over a 60 min mash, check out the thread.
