1 pack of yeast for 10 gal brew ok?

I am ready to brew up a 10 gal batch of some wheat beer. I only have 1 pack of safebrew t58 10 gram and was wondering if it will be ok for the 10 gal batch?

You will likely be underpitching a bit, but I think it will work fine! Probably best to rehydrate the yeast per the directions.

This is not a high gravity brew is it?

How easy would it be for you to get another pack?

What's the OG? Visit Www.yeastcalc.com or Www.mrmalty.com plug the numbers and either site will tell you what you need for proper pitch rate.

I have on a 1040 gravity wheat beer, but it may have been pushing it? Depends on the gravity I think, more than the volume.

It will be a light wheat beer, will be using around 10 lbs lme for a 10 gal batch. I was hoping to get away with it because the nearest brew store is about 3 hours away.

You'd definitely be underpitching with just one pack of yeast.
I'd expect the stresed yeast are going to produce elevated levels of esters and pheonals. If you can score another packet of yeast before brew day, your beer will reward you

That equates to a gravity around 1.032. Mrmalty says you need 1.1 packs of yeast for a 10 gallon batch. You'll have enough yeast.

Why not just make a starter? Just because it isn't liquid doesn't mean you can't make a starter.
