I have an 11 gallon cooler, 12" x 18". Should I use 1/2 " or 3/4 ". I have a 1/2" bulkhead right now and am also wondering how to connect the manifold to the bulkhead/spigot. Thanks!

I tried to send this by private message, but your box is full, so . . .
My friend is a chemist, and he let me know that soaking CPVC in acidic, hot solution leaches out some rather dangerous chemicals. I posted this on the forum and got blasted for it, but I'll tell you this: I would never consider using CPVC for a manifold under any circumstances. I probably would not drink beer made with that setup, and I love beer.
Go with copper, or the braided stainless steel. Both are safe, and the braids are as cheap as CPVC and a whole lot easier.

interesting. I have an SS braid now and am just not digging it. This is interesting, I feel like everyone is all about the CPVC online. Hadn't heard otherwise before

I almost went that route, but am now glad I didn't. I have the braid, and get close to 90% effeciency.

My first attempt at making the braid just came out jenky. Kinda squished at spots and not looking too good by the connection. I dig the idea of the manifold, but definitely have some reservations now on the CPVC

You are trippin'!

The HBT community proved you wrong in your own thread, yet you still persist with this fear mongering. Please do us a favor and stop this nonsense.

To the OP. Don't use coolers. I heard from a nuclear physicist that mashing in coolers will give you lymphoma. :cross:
