I've been brewing my first ever batch of lager for the past 15 days, I bought the coopers lager mix and did everything by the book.

It's gravity reading is at 1.011 at the moment, but after 15 days will it still be fermenting? Beginning to think its gone wrong somewhere as my brothers was ready after just 10 days! Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks :)

Each batch ferments differently, at different rates. The only way to know for sure is to take a sample and measure the SG. If it's the same for 2-3 days in a row, it's finished primary fermentation. It doesn't hurt to let it rest on the yeast cake another week to clean up any off flavors. Most of my beers go at least three weeks in the primary.

Um, no it's probably not fermenting still. That's a perfectly normal FG.

Fermenting beer is a living thing - it goes at its own pace, and the timing can be affected by all sorts of things. It'll be done when it's done. +1 to the above about 1.011 being a typical finished gravity. Check it again in a couple days. If it's the same, then the fermentation is done.
