Day off today, work has been harassing me like crazy. Need a beer while the boy naps and my daughter watches a movie.

Transient Biere de Garde (aged in Absinthe and Wine Barrels)

Licorice. Bready. Dry. Tannic.

Thanks to duckyboycantfly for leaving this behind this afternoon when he was brewing with the guys at Imperial Oak Brewing (A Table Beer collaboration with Omega Yeast Labs), and LT grabbed me a pour which still had a fair bit of carbonation left to it hours after it was opened. Licorice and melanodin malt character blended with a clean yeast profile that finished very dry with good carbonation and a bit of tannin / astringency on the back end that I assume is from the dry finish and oak aging.

Good, but might have been a chore to kill the whole bottle. Greatly enjoyed a 5oz pour of it however.

Cheers!
