When I designed my Garage Brew Pub Build I had a huge sink in mind, but the $500 cost of a stainless steel sink that large was out of the question.

So I re-purposed a 100 gallon galvanized water tank into a sink. You can buy one of these at most feed stores.

Here is the tank, and the hole for the drain that I cut into it with.

I cut the hole into the tank and then straight through the plywood below to ensure a perfect fit.

Next you need to bevel the plywood to the same angle as the sink drain.

I then fit a garbage disposal under the sink, and hooked that up to the sewer line.

Next was the three-faucet faucet.

I had to solder a flange fitting to the 1/2" red brass pipe.

What are the rough inside dimensions of the 'sink'? I love your idea as I'd like to do something similar, but want to be able to fit a 6 gal plastic carboy or my 16 gal brewkettle (~18" in diameter) in there for wash/rinsing.

Mine is 31" x 20'" interior dimensions.

However when you buy one of these you will notice that they actually come in three sizes. The manufactures dont want to ship them one at a time to their retail outlets, so they make them to stack inside each other.

You can probably find these up to 36" x 24".
