I haven't seen too many threads about this fridge so i decided to record my process for anyone wanting to do the same. I chose this fridge because it was only $134 shipped to my door (walmart) and it (allegedly) fits two ball locks. My ultimate goal is to have a two tap tower mounted on top with two ball locks and a 5lb c02 tank inside.
I'll be slowly doing the conversion over the next few months so don't expect frequent updates.
Starting with the addition of a dry erase board on the door: (total time- 1hr)
The igloo 465:
The door frame is simply screwed on.
I reattached the seal with a few of the screws so i could work on the dry erase board without having my beer warm up.
Next, i used a utility knife to cut the center of the door off. The border will be glued to the dry erase board so the seal can go back on and the screw holes can be reused.
I used an adhesive kitchen/bathroom caulk to seal the two together.
I'll let it dry overnight and reattach in the morning.
