    When to switch to secondary?

I brewed a pale ale last week and I put it in my basement to ferment. I noticed the temp was around 56, so I brought it upstairs where it is around 64. It stayed downstairs for about 5 days and todayis these one day upstairs. I just was wondering if it would be ok to switch to secondary today...

    Ratio of water to grain?

I was wondering what a good ratio of water to grain would be? I am brewing a pale ale with 12 pounds of grain. I am just wondering how much water I should use in my mash tun with the grain to be able to brew a five gallon batch. Thanks!!

Want to make beer higher abv.

I brewed a double ipa last night and my initial gravity came out to be 1.06. According to the recipe it should be 1.082. I used all the same ingredients and followed the recipe exactly. This beer should come out to be 8.3% abv. Do you think it will still come out that strong with such a low...
