Resurrection! Surprised there is so little action here...what a great beer...still. I think its a one hop(cascade), one grain beer.

Its funny, I've been to the brewery a few times and always try everything they have. I really only like Fiddlehead IPA. Hate 2nd fiddle, mastermind and don't really care for their others. All it takes is one winner.

Did an all grain variation of no boil, some extra hops, kegged after 3 days and it came out excellent. Very surprised.

Just picked up a stainless serving platter, 18" diameter. Should work pretty good.

Does it have to be stainless? I've been thinking about making one and thought of using plastic. This way, it won't suck of the heat and be light enough not to squash the grain.

I'm very sensitive to onion in hops (Nugget, El Dorado, etc) and I've never gotten that smell from Columbus.

I agree with Bigbuds findings. I don't care what amount you dry hop with, but keg hops are what really makes a beer like this shine in my opinion. Also, I think you are looking at 2 days of the beer being 'outstanding' before it drops off. I've been doing 2 screens, 1 on my dip tube and...

I used the CIP once. Now I do it by hand, does not take long.

Personally, I add them straight through the 4" lid and I actually flush them in a cup with CO2 first. May be unnecessary, but I'll take all the help I can get.

I got the 10g even though I do a lot of 5g batches. No issue with the coil.

I wouldn't be concerned. I've left quite a bit of starsan in kegs before with no ill effects. I only used distilled water now, as the minerals in my well water make the solution cloudy. I think it breaks down the surfactant, not 100% sure.
