    Soapy bitter taste from all Brett fermentation

    Some Brett beers can get that soapy flavor/aroma. I'm not sure if it's the strain or the conditions, but I know the flavor you're talking about. I've tasted it many times. Give it more time, it may age out.

    I used Liberty and Cascade in a Pale Ale. I would not recommend it at all. It was just weird.

    RIS Help!

    It probably dried out so much because you put 4 pounds of sugar in there. For a RIS you want some body in the finished beer so next time cut out the sugar and use more base malt to get to the OG you want.

    I just made a cascade/citra IPA. They pair really well together. Cotta is too much on it's own. My favorite single hop is Columbus.

    I get tropical out of chinook as well. I dry hopped with chinook and got a pineapple aroma.

    Mammoth Brewing Co "IPA 395"

    I look forward to having 395 every time we go to Yosemite. One of my favorites. Their Epic IPA was very good as well.
