    Probably a dumb question...

    I just ordered some 22 oz bottles from a brew store and was wondering if i should take the time to give them a good cleaning or trust that they are clean and just sanitize them? They look relatively clean but my eyes have fooled me before.

    I just started usin this stuff and besides all the bubbles, is it supposed to leave a "sanitized" scent in the carboys...will this odor impart off flavors? do you rinse the carboys out following the star san?? Im still not set on this whoel Cleaning/sanitizing stuff so tell me what you do...thanks!!

    scratches in better bottles

    Lagering question

    Is it okay to have my lager ferment for 4-5 days, give it a diacetyl rest, and then throw it in the secondary for the remainder of the time...or should i really let it go the full 7-10 days of primary fermentation before i give it a diacetyl rest?? thanks PAM

    what do you do?

    How do you guys transfer your wort into your fermenter? I use a strainer but it takes forever because all the hop and grain bits always clog it up so i have to keep stirring it and it takes forever. Is there a faster method of doing this? thanks PAM

    temperature after bottling

    I just bottled my first pale ale and was wondering at what temperature should i let it sit in the bottles? I was thinking of letting it sit around 55 F...is this to cold or can i lower the temp? Thanks. PAM

    Airlock question?
