Kentucky Selling all gear in Louisville KY - 10 gallon all grain

See add here: https://louisville.craigslist.org/for/6241684830.html Prefer to sell as a lot and not part out. A lot of barely used equipment as I only brew once or twice a year... which is the reason for getting out of hobby. I will travel to deliver within a reasonable distance. If...

    Keggle Kit

Hello again, I am picking up two empty legs tomorrow. One is going to be a boil kettle not sure about the other one. What is the best place to get a weldless kit for a keggle including sight glass, thermometer and dip tube/ball valve?

    Temp control help

Hello again HBT! I've decided to move forward with a keezer build and for that purpose purchased the Thermostar temp controller from Northern Brewer. I went with this model because it claimed it could heat and cool... well that's true but you can only do one at a time aka unplug freezer and...

    Very odd brew day

So something about this brew day, which ended up low on OG, doesn't make sense to me. Anyone have any ideas? So my expected pre boil gravity was 1.043. I was high with a gravity of 1.048. I would think this would result in a higher than expected OG in the end to start with. But then I ended...

    Acidulated Grain

I've read that up to 3% acidulated malt is acceptable with 2% recommended as a starting point. You could try the 88% acid solution to avoid the sour malt flavor and also get a faster change in mash PH if that's a concern of yours. That being said I'm just regurgitating what I've read recently...

Ok so before everyone gets all snarky... oh shoot too late ;) both options show the same results on my kindle which is why I was wondering. Then again the unread selection often shows zero results after refresh and so forth. It's buggy all around. But thank you bbnbrew for the straight response.

    KY Brewers

Hey so I've been on here several years and rarely see anyone from KY... at least near louisville. I need to find me some brew buddies. I've visited the local clubs but for whatever reason in my few visits I didn't really seem to click with anyone. Anyway, looking for someone or a few to get...

    Ready to keg

My method is to set at 30 for 36 to 48 hours depending on if I started with a cold keg. If I start with a warm keg it carbs slower so I go for 48 hrs. I then back it down to serving pressure for several days. At that point its y usually carbed up close to where I like it. It will continue to...
