    If you get to the point that it’s clogging, I’d do the triclamp bazooka mentioned above, saw some on amazon with mesh between 30-150 mesh, pick your poison.

    There’s only one way to find out how much you can push the system. I ran this mill forever at 45-thousandths because it was considered “safe” and was surprised how coarse it was... the main reason for sharing this info.

    Thermometer recommendations?

    I've had good luck with WIKA bi-metal thermometers (http://www.wika.us/products_TM_en_us.WIKA?ActiveID=12680). They're industrial thermometers, well made and accurate to +/- 1%. They come in various temp ranges and mounting options. I got a TI.30 for ~$20 on-line.

    I measured the depth (to the 1/16th of an inch) of 1 gallon (measured by a milk jug) at a time and did a linear regression to get the equation.
