Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I'm sure camlocks could work as well. For hose, you could use radiator hose. I use it on the outlet side of my chiller.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I use brass quick disconnects. When I'm done with the condenser I swap the hose over to the chiller. I also have a brass valve on the hose before the quick disconnect, so I can shut off the flow to swap and throttle flow when I need to the chiller. For the condenser I keep it full open. I brew...

    Brew Boss Systems

My Brew-Boss controller works just fine, no reason to switch. If the controller did happen to fail, I would just try to replace what ever part broke. I did take the controller out of the box it came in and put into my own panel. I also use my own BIAB kettle. Spike makes nice stuff, but if I...

    Brew Boss Systems

I'm prepping! Although, a bock was probably not the best choice. I usually only brew a few batches a year anyway, but haven't recently due to my brew area (garage) having been cluttered with old furniture and starting up a reef tank that has taken a chunk of my free time.

    Brew Boss Systems

I run all of those apps, except Brunwater, on a Lenovo 7" tablet with no issues. I haven't had issues with Brunwater, I just haven't used it on the tablet. When Brew Boss is running you wont be able to pull up other apps as it will cause the Brew Boss app to stop. When I'm brewing I pull up...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I spray right into a pot, no escaping steam: Link to my build thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/single-vessel-ebiab-in-11-gallon-bayou-classic-with-boilcoil.643196/

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I have mine through the lid and just move the lid to the side for additions. During the build one of the options I contemplated was a separate 1.5" TC port, with a concentric reducer, with a blanking plate. But I quickly ruled that out based upon cost.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

I noticed rust on mine after the first use. Thought it may have been an isolated incident, I guess not. Subsequent uses I've been pulling it out of the tube to dry.

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Mine is out of the lid and I don't have any steam leakage. The weight of the parts keeps its sealed. Although I don't have a hinge. I just lift the lid to check boil and add hops. I thought of a hinge and/or another port for that purpose but saw nothing out there and adding another port was just...

Conflicted on recirculation port location for custom ebiab kettle

I have mine in the lid. Switch to the whirlpool port after mash. Here's my build thread: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/single-vessel-ebiab-in-11-gallon-bayou-classic-with-boilcoil.643196/
