    if im using califonia common yeast in my pilsner fermenting it at 65 degrees do i still ferment as long as the pilsne kit says or treat it like an ale? ty guys happy brewing :mug::mug:

    lager beer with ale yeast

    so i live in an area where warm temps and would like to make an Oktoberfest style beer i was told that i could use an ale yeast and it would taste pretty good, obviously not as well. i plan on using an extract and specialty grain kit with a liquid german ale yeast is this gonna be ok

    when priming it says to boil the sugar till fully dissolved. what i need to know is i have 6 gallons of beer how much sugar do i use and how much water do i boil it in the book olny talks about 5 gallon batches any replies are welcome even u revvy ur tough but u know what ur talkin about

    i am going to take a hydrometer reading on day 2 or day 3 of fermentation i was considering adding a yeast neutrient because the brew only bubbled in the fermenter for about 35 hrs. is that a mistake

    It's an all extract Czech pisner was kinda worried but just followed the directions (with a few minor tweeks- new yeast and a yeast nuetrient in place of the packaged crap) and now she's in the ferrmenter. now the wait.......it's like watchin eggs hatch happy new year and happy brewing
