    Mixing priming solutions

Maybe off flavor was the wrong word, as much as It was a very noticeable honey taste that almost took over all other notes. I'd like to get a mild honey taste, so I thought of halfing it with sugar.

    Mixing priming solutions

Hello everyone, I am wondering of anyone has ever attempted to mix two types of priming solutions (e.g. honey and table sugar). I like the honey taste but when I fully prime with it it gives an off flavor, I'm looking to do half honey and half table sugar to the volume of 2.8 for an IPA I brewed.

American IPA Hop Schedule help for a NEIPA

I love the input from everyone. Thank you! I like the idea of the full FWH, I feel like it'll give it a good round about bitterness. Cutting the 10min hops and keeping the FO hops as is. Upping the dry hops a bit and adding them 2-3 days in, and not doing a secondary. HOPS: 1 oz -...

    Help with NEIPA recipe

I really appreciate the input! I will definitely be pulling the 10 min additions and I'm thinking of getting the bitterness from the 15min addition. Also, upping my dry hop amount and doing it around 2-3 days with no secondary.

    Bitterness Question

Thank you guys for your reply! I was just wondering because, I saw a recipe that showed FO hops adding no bitterness then at the same time whirlpooling at 180 adding bitterness.

    Bitterness Question

How does whirlpooling add bitterness and not hops added at FO? Would you take the hops out using a bag once it's cooled to 180? Then whirlpool..

    Help with NEIPA recipe

I've only used honey wheat one other time in a wheat beer of mine, turned out pretty good. I used .5lb in 5gal. But, I'd like it to be close to a typical NEIPA. I'll cut out the honey and cara pils. Is victory good to keep in it?

Immersion Chiller + Whirlpool Paddle = Good Idea or No?

I am using a bayou classic false bottom with a custom made SS diptube and a "bouncer" inline filter. Just doesn't get everything out, and was wanting to try this paddle. What are your thoughts?

    Black IPA recipe

I've never personally used the UK coffee malts. I may bring down the malts and use actual coffee beans in secondary to get the coffee notes I'm aiming for. Additionally, I'll take your advice on the Chinook hop addition! Thank you!
