    HELP!! Power outage

I ended up boiling last night. I did have a propane burner but my BIL had it and they live out of town. Only option was to boil once power came back on or wait til this morning. I'm sure it would be ok had I waited until this morning to boil but didn't want to take a chance on the wort souring...

    HELP!! Power outage

I get that but if I recall there are people who mash one day and boil the next. I've read post about this on HBt but can't find it. So has anyone done thus without infection or the beer going sour?

    HELP!! Power outage

No. I've seen people mash one day, cover then boil the next. Never done it. Just don't want to waste this batch.

    HELP!! Power outage

I am 50 min into my mash and the ****ing power goes out on a sun shining day. If power doesn't come back on in the next 30 min I'll need to wait until tomorrow morning to finish. Do I need to do anything special to maintain the integrity of the wort so I can go to the boil tomorrow? It's pretty...

    Reverse Osmosis System Recommendation Please

I have one from Bulk Reef Supply- I think it's the 75 GPD one. I've been using it for 4 years, strictly for brewing water and coffee. It takes about 3 hrs to get 8 gallons or so. Buckeye Hydro is a good vendor. Cant remember why i went with BRS, maybe it may have been a bit cheaper.

    Nukatap Faucets

So you are using 11' per line? What did you use to connect the two lines?
  8. brew703

    Nukatap Faucets

I tried this last night and it worked. Still should not have to do it that way if the lines were correctly balanced but it worked.

    Nukatap Faucets

I kinda have the same issue- I have two Intertap Flow control faucets and one CMB faucet running 4mm EVA. My first pour using the Intertap faucets does produce some foam. What i have been doing is make a couple ounces to get the beer flowing, drink then pour my pint and that has reduced the...

    Fermzilla All-Rounder Lid Leak

I have an All Rounder and never had a lid leak. I've probably fermented 6 batches or so with no issues. I also do not use lube. I hand tighten and no issues. You may want to check the gasket to make sure it's not ripped or not seated properly. You should not have to use lube but if you do...

    Shopping list for keezer

They foam way more than my CMB tap does- always have no matter how much i dial back the flow- I initially used Ultra barrier tubing at about 15'/run and it produced foam then. I keep my keezer set at 35 and PSI at 10-12. Once I switched to EVA barrier the foaming was greatly reduced but I get a...

    Shopping list for keezer

I second the EVA barrier lines with John Guest fittings. Roughly 6' per line. Check out Rite Brew. they have the best prices and is where I bought most of my parts for my keezer build. kegconnection is also another source but I find their prices on some items are a bit high. I have one of their...

Pretty good IPA. Not overly hoppy.

    Keg line issues

Braided PVC is probably the issue- I dont think that line is intended for beer. You need to use beer line, which is thick walled if you go with PVC- I would try to find EVA Barrier, 4mm version. But not sure what you can get in Argentina- I'm sure you could order online but shipping might be a...

    Keg line issues

Trying to diagnose an issue with kegging is frustrating. I absolutely hate vinyl hose. But if that's all you can get then you will have to make it work. As mentioned, if you can get EVA barrier line, that is the best. As for the trickle, that seems like there isn't enough PSI to push the beer...

    Kegging 101.

check out this thread. This is how I built my keezer. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/threads/easy-peasy-no-glue-keezer-build-with-lots-of-pics.632550/

    Is my beer infected? Help!

How would you know what was forming if it's in a bucket with lid closed? I assume you are a new brewer. It's hard to resist opening to see what's going on. When you open the lid always a chance for something to get in and lets oxygen in- the oxygen part is bad but as long as fermentation is...

Amateur Keezer Build--Learn from My Experience

Similar to my build. I have Intertap Flow Control faucets but I don't really find them all that useful. Thinking about switching them for CMB or the Kegland Nukatap Faucets. As for tubing, I initially went with what you chose but switched to Kegland EVA barrier. Much easier to work with and...
