I put chocolate cake in my stout!

The head is definitely lacking.... it has good carbonation but almost no head... it carbed more like a soda than a beer.

I put chocolate cake in my stout!

Well, I kegged this beer today... OG was 1.058, FG is 1.012. My calculations say it is 6%. It tastes great! Roasty, slight sweetness, super slightly fruity in the aftertaste, BIG chocolate and coffee. Tastes great!.. almost like I planned it. We will see in a week what the head is like.

I put chocolate cake in my stout!

I'm hoping that the oil stays on the top and I can rack underneath it. I think it's going to cause problems with the krausen though. I'm not sure how much problem that will cause.

I need some opinion related advice... my dad passed away in November, he was well known for making chocolate cakes... to kind of euigise him in my own way I took part of the last cake he made and put it in during the last 10min of the boil of a stout I was brewing. Scorched...

I scorched my steeping grains by letting them sit on the bottom of the kettle... I think it was a moderate scortching. Also the end beer is an Imperial IPA with a total of 9 ounces of hops in the kettle and 6 ounces in the dry hop when the fermentation gets there. Two questions... will the...

    Low final gravity...

My plan is to pitch two packs of wyeast and heavily aerate. Would adding some yeast nutrient be needed?

    Hop usage

Wow!... 3oz per gallon? Isn't that a little much? I already have 13.5oz for a full 5gal batch.

    Oh no...

I am doing a partial mash and my co-brewer miss read the thermometer the thought it was 160F but it was really 180F for the grain steep. What kind of problems can i expect to have if any? I have since have tried to cool as best i can to 160F.

    Kegging trouble

I took the keg apart after racking into a new sanitized keg to find it was the dip tube AND pop-it. I am recarbonating now.

    Kegging trouble

    Kegging trouble

I have kegged my first beer and I am already having trouble... i have had my Imperial Blonde Ale carbonating for 10 day at 18psi and thought today would be a good day to try... I connect my liquid out beer flows into the line. I open the faucet an just a dribble comes out. I re check all my gas...
