    Tiling coffin keezer top

That is what I have heard as far as the expansion and contraction. Adding latex makes sense , would I find that near the grout and thin set at the store?

    Tiling coffin keezer top

I am currently building a coffin keezer and going through all of the builds on the forum I noticed a lot of people tiling the tops. I really like the look of it but I am curious if people just tiled directly to the plywood or did they put down cement board too. If they just put it directly to...

Starting to plan coffin keezer build

Thank you for the info! I am not planning on adding a collar, I can get 4 kegs without the hump which should be fine for me. Safety chain is really smart, I'll have to thing about doing that! Was also thinking about finding shocks to help with the weight as well.

Starting to plan coffin keezer build

Access is my biggest concern as the coffin tops look heavy. Just have to make sure I use heavy duty hinges. Should I toss the lid and make my own or attach the OG lid to the top, and if so how have people done that ?

Starting to plan coffin keezer build

I've been sitting on a chest freezer for the last few months trying to decide what kind of keezer I want to go with, simple collar or go with the more complex but typically more interesting looking coffin. I have decided to jump into the coffin design. Over the last week or so I have looked up...

    kegs at room temperature

This is great feedback, I'm going to just have to give it a whirl and see how it goes. My kegs always seal nice and I always use keg lube so hopefully everything just keeps good seals and I can bank a few brews. Thanks aging everybody!

    kegs at room temperature

I don't have a second tank and regulator so I was just thinking of filling with c02 then shelving it for however long. Even if it is sitting between 65 and 68 degrees you think it would absorb that fast where I would lose the seal in a matter of days? I guess worse comes to worse I could just...

    kegs at room temperature

Interesting I always thought it would take months for the c02 to dissolve in those temps , good to know!

    kegs at room temperature

Oh one more thing , is there a specific pressure you set it at for closet storage ?

    kegs at room temperature

Awsome thanks for the input , I'm never happy when I have an empty faucet.

    kegs at room temperature

I have a two keg set up and I always end up running out of beer before I have the next batch ready. I was thinking of picking up a third and possibly fourth keg and I was just wondering, can you fill a keg, pressurize it , seal it and put it in a closet and wait for the next keg to empty? Or...

    white labs San Diago yeast

I brewed on saturday and it was bubbling away in just a fee hours and by Monday night the activity was substantially less, very fast fermentation. That is good to know thanks for the reply!

    white labs San Diago yeast

I have been experimenting with an American IPA recipe I made over the last 6 months. I typically just used Wyeast ale yeast 1056 and adjusted the other ingredients with minimal change. I decided to try changing up the yeast this time to the white labs San Diego strain. I was just wondering if...

    Bottle issues

Alright so I tried the beer I put in the fridge yesterday and it did not gush out! It's still very carbonated so I have to pour slowly but it's much better.

    Bottle issues

Here is the process I used : This recipe I found and was not a pre built kit. It is a red ale extract recipe using wyeast 1007. After finish the wort I pitched the yeast and put it in the primary fermenter. I had it at a 70 degrees and it started a very aggressive fermentation, a little started...

    Bottle issues

I ended up with 47 standard bottles. I guess I always use the same amount of priming sugar with a five gallon batch, never had this happen before.
