    No airlock activity from lager

Warm it up. The yeast says up to 58 degrees so try that.

    Don't Do That.

Don't turn your wort chiller on while you're brewing inside and routing the water out the window, then walk away only to come back and notice the hose popped off and your entire family's shoes, backpacks, etc. are soaked

Hello from Connecticut-first all grain tomorrow!

Also, my brew day went pretty well for the first time! I took a few notes and a pre-boil gravity reading, just forgot post boil reading. Going to wait another week to take a gravity reading when I add the dry hops. Thanks for the encouragement guys.

Hello from Connecticut-first all grain tomorrow!

Perfect guys! I'm down. The brutus 10 is a monster I'd love to check that out! I'm certainly down for a CT brew day. I've been messaging with another member from Willimantic who is into it as well. I was thinking we brew beers with our own equipment at a location and help eachother...

    Dead Space Question

Ok cool, so it's OK to tip the cooler and get as much out as possible. That's what I needed to know! I'm using a bazooka screen that is stiff, so it goes straight out and doesn't rest on the bottom. That's why there's so much space below in my tun. Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using Home...

    Dead Space Question

Thank you for your response pie. I am thinking that I am not calculating it correctly. The space I accounted for is the space below my bazooka screen that will not drain into the kettle. This water will be in contact with the grains, it just won't drain unless I tip the cooler. Sent from...

    Dead Space Question

Guys and gals, I have about a gallon of deadspace in my tun. Beersmith is telling me to mash in a gallon over what I should be mashing with 12 lbs of grain. Is this going to water down my grain? Should I use more grain if I'm using more water? Beersmith is telling me: 12 lbs grain...
