Mini Fridge for 2 1/6th Commercial Kegs

Hi Guys I am looking to build a new kegerator for my bar and I want the flexibility to be able to have home brew and/or commercial beer available on tap. My mini fridge (Danby) can currently fit 2 corny kegs but not 2 1/6th kegs. That extra 1/4" sucks! Anyway is there currently a mini fridge on...

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

I have been doing a lot of research on beer recipe development and hope that my next batch comes out more "expected"

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

That is why I want to brew the recipes again to see where I went wrong.

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

I am looking forward to seeing how they both come out that is for sure. Planning a nice simple pale ale or blond ale next though.

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

Yeah I know the gravity is way to high for the grains I thought I mashed. I ended up with about 5.5 gallons which is what I wanted. I think I messed up the grain weights by A LOT when packaging at my LHBS. Like I said I will see this one through, get the ingredients again (and pay extra special...

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

Well at this point I need to brew both these brews again to figure out what I did wrong when I bagged up the grains. My gravity came in a about 1.080. I will see this beer through and see what happens with it. Now there may not be enough bitterness. UGHHHHH.

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

I also mashed at a slightly higher temp than usual to get it a little maltier

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

I dropped the 45 and 30 minute additions to 10 and 5 which dropped the IBU'S to 69.8. That was probably a good choice.

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

Ok, thanks for the advise. I am mashing out now so I have time to "adjust" to make it drinkable.

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

Any ways to make it less painful? Switch up the hop additions of 45 and 30 to 20 and 10?

Not really sure how this is going to turn out

So since I brewed by the wrong grain bill last weekend on what was supposed to be a session citra IPA. I am brewing those grains now in the recipe below. Hopefully this beer is not completely unbalanced and tastes good. I believe it should have a strong IPA bitterness with a...

    Cooling Wort with cold water

When I brewed extract I would fill the sink with cold water, drop the pot in rhe cold water, stir the hell out of it, drain the warm water, and repeat until I got it down to about 100, then would top off with cold water and mix back and forth between the brew kettle and fermenter.

    Quick question

I connect at 30 psi, rock back and forth for 60 seconds once every hour or 2 and it is typically ready to drink within 6-7 hours. I then purge the excess gas and reduce the pressure to about 8psi

What I did for beer today

I actually had a fairly busy beer day. Kegged 2 beers and got them carbonated up. Transferred another to secondary. Drove to My LHBS to get a couple gaskets for my keg (wasn't holding a seal) and also ended up buying 2 more kegs as reserves. Fixed my beer line cleaner. I was planning on brewing...

    Citra AIPA

So I transfered to secondary today and gave it a little taste. I was actually pleasantly suprised. It has a nice citrus aroma and tasted pretty good. Definitely a tad bitter but month less not too vad. It should balance out more as it conditions in the secondary.

    Boil Kettle filtration

I use a conical colander with very small holes, which is typically used to separate and press solids from liquids when making home made stocks. I directly drain my wort into it.it also does a nice job of aeration too. http://m.alibaba.com/product/101118005/Conical-Colander.html?hasRedirected=y

OG is much higher than expected

Well here is to hoping that my beer actually comes out good enough. Hey maybe I stumbled upon something with this Screw Up! See my Citra AIPA thread in recupes for further updates. Thanks again all!

    Citra AIPA

It is fermenting away and smells really good by the way!

    Citra AIPA

Here is the recipe that i ended up making in error. Feedback would appreciated so when I attempt to brew it again I can brew a well balanced Citra Hoppy Brew. CITRA AIPA IBU'S: 93 ABV: 6.0% OG: 1.066 (Since i thought i was brewing a lower gravity brew I watered it down from a 1.070, estimated...
