Better bottle or glass carboy for belgian tripel??

So I was reading that you need to secondary for 9-12 months. It also recommends using a glass carboy which I don't have and don't want to purchase. Will my beer not come out as good just because I used a better bottle? Oh and I have 3 ea 6.5 gal carbons not the 5 gal which eliminates all the...

Liquid yeast did not swell in the bag... Is it Still good?

Same here. Just learned a little about starter yeast and I will definitely research it also. I had a stuck fermentation and it may have been because of my yeast.

    Shakey kettle

While brewing my 7.5 gal kettle shakes too much on my electric stove. Is there anything I can do to slow it down or prevent it?

Help! I think my fermenation is stuck.

Same issue here with a autumn amber ale. Sat in primary for 2 weeks and stuck at 1.020 . I bottled it anyway but my ABV is going to be very low. Don't know what I did wrong. That was my first brew.

    flat beer

I used all of the priming sugar that came with the extract kit. Conditioned for 2 weeks and when i initially pour it you can tell that it is carbed but after 5-10 min it goes really flat.

    flat beer

I brewed an IPA kit from brewers best. Hit the OG and FG on the money everything went smooth. I think i accidently left it in the laundry room already bottled and the temperature was too high about 80 degrees with my dryer on. While drinking the beer it is great at first but then towards the...

    White crust near airlock

First time brewing and I just put my 5 gal batch in the primary yesterday and it has been busy on a few hours after going into the primary. I noticed a crust at the bottom of the airlock near the rubber ring on the bucket lid. Should I be concerned?

    Electric stove issues

I currently have a ceramic/glass top electric stove. I will be looking into getting a propane burner ASAP just to speed up the process and not damage the stove. Thanks

    First brew tomorrow

I am doing the same! Brewed my first 5 gal batch of autumn pale ale from a Midwest ingredient kit. All I want is to see some bubbles and pray that it doesn't get infected!

    Electric stove issues

I figured it would be fine on the burner since I am stirring it the entire time but I will definitely take the advice of a more experienced brewer!

    Electric stove issues

So I got a nice rolling boil going after like 2 hrs...(Midwest kit says to remove kettle from burner when adding LME, which I won't do ever again) that is also with out the aluminum foil and the lid off. Hopefully the end result will be delicious! Thanks for the advice.. I will try the aluminum...

    Electric stove issues

Should I put the lid on my kettle to create a faster boil? I heard it is not a good idea but I am afraid my electric stove won't get a good boil going on a 7.5 gal kettle. Any advice......
