    Gimp 2.4 Released

everything i have experience with gimp is that is a more of a 3D graphics creation program that anything else. I would recommend macromedia fireworks or adobe illustrator for creating labels. Im not sure about the price as I can download both for free from LSU, but they are definitely better...

    Cooling Wort

    secondary temp

from what i understand the secondary serves the purpose of letting particles further settle out of the beer and that no fermentation is occurring. That said does it really matter what temperature i keep it at. My roommates parents who pay the electricity bill demand they keep it at a brisk 80...

    wort chiller

Ok so ive been looking at wort chillers and was thinking they seem pretty easy to make. All you need is some copper tubing, coil it, then attach plastic tubing to either side, one for in and one for out. Am i over simplifying it?

can i save some slurry for later?

I made a starter for my smack pack and all seems to be going ok. Tomorrow I plan on putting my slurry mix in the fridge for a little while before i pitch it so i can get rid of some of that starter wort. My question is can i save a portion of my slurry before i pitch as an alternative to trying...
