    Are these parts ok to use in mash tun set up

    I went to lowes today to get parts to hook up to my ball vavle that I bought from my lhbs. I want to pick up a reducer to put a tube on so after looking at about 100 parts that wouldn't fit I found a nylon hose barb that was perffict fit. It's lead free. Is this ok to use as a one time only...

    partial mash in an igloo cooler

    High starting gravity

    Fermenting WLP001 yeast at 60 Degrees

    Hello, I'm goign to be brewing a Harpoon IPA clone tomorrow. I'm useing California Ale Yeast WLP001. Right now I can't get my temp up to 68. I can't only get it between 58-62 degrees. I live in RI and we're keeping heat low to save money. Will it effect the fermenting at this temp?

    how long do supplies last

    I have a grain / extract kit that is about 8 months old. Hops and yeast have been in fridge the whole time and grain in a bag. Are they still good to brew with?
