    Keezer Apron Paint

I'd rather paint my apron for my keezer than stain. I just realized I not should use an outdoor latex paint I already have. I have read that appliance paint can be used. If I would go that route would I need some sort of primer? Is there another alternative? I may decide to go with a stain and...

How long does it take to keg

With everything considered, how long does it take to keg. It seems like it may not be that much faster than bottling from videos I saw on youtube. It typically takes me <1 hour for 2 cases. Thanks

    Calcium Buildup Inside Fermonster

What is this inside my Fermonster. It seems to be some sort of calcium buildup. It's rough and the only way I can get rid of it is to scratch it off with my fingernail but it comes back the next time I brew. I haven't tried PBW yet. Thanks.

    Recent Wort Chiller Thread

There was a recent thread not necessarily on wort chillers but the OP said he was able to chill his wort in about 3 minutes. Somebody responded saying that 3 minutes was really fast. The OP sent a link to the wort chiller he used. I wanted to get it and I thought I bookmarked a link to it but...

    Grits vs. Craked Corn

If a recipe calls for flaked corn I have started to use quick grits, it's more available and cheaper I cook the grits first to gelatinize them and then add it to the mash. I have done a few experiments and cannot tell the difference between this and flaked corn but with quick grits I have found...

    Free Hop Plants

I have 3 hop plants, Columbus, Sterling and Chinook, that are 3 years old. At the end of last year I replanted them because they were getting in the way. I got a pound (dried) from the Columbus last year, not as much from the others. Assuming they made it though the Winter does anybody want...

I think I forgot to add priming sugar.

I started drinking a batch of beer that should be carbonated but it's not. I must have forgotten to add priming sugar. I was thinking about opening each bottle and adding corn sugar but I do not know how much. I'm not too concerned with optimal carbonation, I just want a ballpark amount. Maybe a...
