Washing yeast from a cider, and using it for beer???

ya, Ill g9ve it a whirl. Re: what you said, the graf actual has DME in it, so maybe it wouldn't be a drastic change for the yeast.

    Siphon Pregunta

The auto syphon is the second best piece of gear I procrastinated about when I started brewing (wort chiller is the first). If you can I would buy an auto syphon for $15 +/- and be done with it. The 2.00 bottle filler attachment is must have IMO as well.

Washing yeast from a cider, and using it for beer???

I made a batch of Brandon O's Graff, and used Nottingham. Is it ok to wash the yeast, store it, and then use it for a beer soon down the road? Would I be at risk for off flavors??? Thanks!:mug:

    FG for Brandon O's Graff???

hey all, I made a batch of Brandon O's Graff (https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f81/graff-malty-slightly-hopped-cider-117117/) Used Nottingham as suggested. After 3 days in primary, visible signs of fermentation have ceased. SG was 1.068 Gravity is now at 1.022 I feel like it should...

Question about re-start of fermentation in secondary....

I brewed a Sierra Nevada Pale kinda clone 3 weeks ago. fermented out fine, finished in primary at 1.015. I racked to secondary right before leaving town for a week for work. I came back to find a small krausen on top, primary'esque yeast buildup on the carboy sides, and airlock bubbles every...

    Corny keg mobile serving options...

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestions! A couple questions... About the c02 cartridge charger: how long does one cartridge last, and if you don't use a full one, can the rest of it be used at another time? About the method of turning it up 6 psi higher: this just means apply 6 psi more after...

    Corny keg mobile serving options...

What are some options as far as serving corny kegs outside of my kegerator. Bringing my c02 tank seems like a lot if hassle and a pain to lug around. I have a picnic faucet, so ill just need something for the gas side. Suggestions? Thanks.

Balancing my kegerator. Line size gauge question....

ah, got it. Thanks! Wheres the cheapest place to get it. I just checked out a couple websites, and it would be almost $30 shipped for 20 feet!

Balancing my kegerator. Line size gauge question....

Im getting some foamy pours, and Im thinking of extending the beer lines in my kegerator to 10 feet. I snipped a 1 inch piece off of one of the lines for reference. I brought it to Lowes and it doesn't look like they have that exact tubing. Its a fairly small inner diameter, with a larger...

    Hello from Burlington, VT!

What I love most are big hoppy beers. I brew alot of IPA/IIPA's with some Ambers/Wheats mixed in. Ive been brewing for about 9 months. The first 7 or so I brewed extract, but after getting bored of pouring DME/LME into water, Ive since gone AG.
