    Single Tier Brewstand (The Firetable)

You can fit 12 half barrels in a Jeep if you're careful. The welding shop belongs to my buddy Paul who is now building custom bike frames here in La Crosse. Here's a link to his FB page Here's the daily ride and this is the rain bike. Mountain bike is somewhere too.

    Single Tier Brewstand (The Firetable)

The 6" burner has a needle valve hooked up, allowing me to dial the flame down quite a bit. Down to about match-flame size. I went with the 6" to allow a slightly wider and softer flame for heating the mash tun in a more gentle manner. I still recirc the wort back into the top of the mash if...

Keggle MLT PICO falsebottom + sight glass?

I don't see why not. presumably it just covers the bottom bowl of the keg, and your sight glass wouldn't interject into that space anyway.

Don't worry about the cold break.

    camlocks hard to close?

Close them together, both sides at the same time. Don't do left side, then right side.

    Brew stand concept

At 6" pumping out 225k BTUs, it seems like concentrated overkill to me. I envision an extremely hot, strong flame blasting off the surface, with a diminishing return on heat absorption. I'm no thermo-engineer, however.

    Drastic measures!! Help

Why not just cut back or thin to 4-5 bines per crown?

    Brew stand concept

I don't see a reason to make your gas pipe longer than it needs to be. I'd also be concerned about that Monster burner focused on such a relatively small portion of your boil kettle. I'm afraid it will either be inefficient, or risk scorching. Others may have differing opinions.

    My keg tastes terrible.

Did you try the distilled water in the keg test?

    Single Tier Brewstand (The Firetable)

Thanks pfgonzo. I got lucky with a few things, (camlocks are not that cheap anymore, and I had no trouble getting my chugger) and I made a few mispurchases, the Iwaki for one, but overall, I'm satisfied with the cost. Now to figure out the paint issue... eventually.

    Single Tier Brewstand (The Firetable)

I put off starting this thread for long enough. Never mind that I put off finishing the stand for almost a year! I have two full brews done with this stand and am still working out some of the process kinks, but so far, things are going well. Most of the pictures should have accompanying...

    hops pole trellis

I buried a 3' mailbox sleeve and every year slide the 16ft 4x4 into it. I didn't use any concrete, just tamped the dirt as I filled in the sleeve. pic link

    Danby Kegorator Issue

Bumping/resurrecting because I have the same question. Control board on a kegerator is fried, but the compressor is good. Can I completely swap the stock board for a Love controller or something similar. or even one of these 110V All-purpose Temperature Controller STC1000?

    Female Cam Locks

My silicone tubing is jammed right over the threads on the B type. It's so tight and the silicone is so thick and spongy that there's no way liquid is going to leak. I practically had to screw the fitting into the tubing. ETA: pic link ETA: another pic link

gas plumping - is this okay?

In my opinion, you're going to have some long lengths of flex hose on burners 2 and 3, and that gets expensive. Otherwise, it looks ok.

    Chrome plated copper tubing..

Nope, this is what I use in my bottling bucket, it leaves nothing more than a thin film of wort on the bottom. Looks like this, but one side is female threaded. I put the bottling bucket washer, and nut on, then thread this on, only about 1.5 turns, but it fits.
