What would be a good beer to brew for St Patty's day

Irish dry stout, or an Irish red ale. It may still be a bit green, but if you brewed today, you might be able to get it carbed up in time. Do a bit lower OG beer to help it ferment quicker. ETA: Please don't go dieing beer green. Nothing about that is Irish

    NW Irish Red Ale

The smoothest brew day I ever had was one where I was drinking the whole ime ;) Otherwise I am stressing out. It usually always turns out OK in the end.

Did I just ruin my beer?

You hear it? I've never "heard" my beer fermenting. 2 lbs of sugar is alot. It's going to dry the beer out quite a bit and change the taste profile. You may or may not get a hot or cidery taste from the extra alcohol. ABV used to be important to me, now I am much more concerned about...

    Harevest yeast fermented in jar

Strange occurrence. I went to the fridge and pulled out some PacMan yeast I had harvested from the yeast cake of a stout I brewed. When I looked at the Ball jar the top was curved and when I opened it it fizzed and foamed up. The beer on top of the yeast layer had carbonated. Obviously there...

Partial vs all-grain brewing. What do you prefer?

It does save time, namely in the amount of time to heat up water and cool down wort (assuming less than a full boil) PMs didn't take near as long as AG, but I enjoy it so I wouldn't go back.

    wilserbrewer BIAB bags

Just got my bag... man, I am impressed! The cinch tie is awesome. Now I can pull it tight around the top of the cooler and dump in the grains! Very excited, worth the money.

Cream Ale + Kolsch WLP029 lagering or condition fermentation ??

Everything MrrKunckle said. Dirty little secret is alot of micro breweries use kolsch yeast for their (pseudo) lagers so they can more quickly free up their limited space. I've used kolsch yeast for a marzen and a vienna lager. Ferment at 58-60 F for 2 weeks (it's really slow but...

    wilserbrewer BIAB bags

Just ordered one with the SuperBowl promotion. Excited to use it. I think partly my low efficiency is due to too small a back. Hopefully a larger bag which allows the whole space of the cooler to be used will help with efficiency

Chemicals, just like us. You use Oxyclean or PWB? Chemicals.

    Christmas Stout Question

I agree. It's an extra precaution that isn't really any work. A high proof alcohol is going to extract the flavors alot better than an 4-8% ABV beer will. Make a tincture with the spices.

Is my star san solution still good?

Did you make with distilled water? How'd dirt get in there?

    Adding chocolate powder at flameout

For future recipes in which you plan to use chocolate, I would recommend making chocolate extract. http://www.mommypotamus.com/how-to-make-chocolate-extract/ Same with vanilla.

    Critique- Pumpkin Saison

If there is one general type of beer that should not be mixed with pumpkin or pumpkin spice, it's Beligan styles. That sounds nasty to me.

Custom BPA Recipe, round 2... Tastes like Graham Crackers? (recipe inside)

You can't have a Belgian Pale Ale without Belgian yeast. If you LHBS doesn't have any.. culture some from any number of bottle conditioned Belgian style beers.

    I have too much pilsner!

What about a saison, belgian pale ale, or marzen?

Using WL029 without starter in a 2.5 gallon batch

Assuming it was stored properly and isn't super old, yes.
