It will depend on how long you leave it in the fermentor. If you leave it in there for a month there should still be plenty of yeast for bottle conditioning. If you leave it in the fermentor for closer to two months then I would suggest adding some yeast at bottling. As with any bottling...
I think it was a typo. However, Wyeast comes out with seasonal yeasts so it may have been a seasonal offering. I would go with the 1214.

Do you get the DMS flavor in other beers you have brewed without pilsner malt? Another cause of DMS is contamination. What type of chiller are you using? If you are using a plate chiller or a counterflow chiller there could be some gunk in the chiller causing contamination issues. Are you...
If you have enough fermentor space you could take a gallon of water, heat it up, add your LME, boil for 15 min, chill then add to your fermentor. Otherwise I would suggest starting fresh. Just my $.02
I have a chest freezer (15cf) for storing corny kegs.
Advantages:
Able to fit 8 corny kegs in the freezer.
Disadvantages:
Have to lift the corny keg over the sidewall of the chest freezer to move it in/out.
Need to use a separate temp controller to control the temp inside the...
My brew day definitely does not feel like work. The only part of the process that even comes close is the cleanup. I also don't rush my brew day but I don't take my sweet old time either.
Cheers,
Brandon
I normally use Wyeast but I have used it when it was older than 6 months old. I always suggest making a starter unless the OG of your beer is so low that it wouldn't require it. Check out the Mr. Malty pitching rater calculator for the proper starter size / amount of tubes for the beer you are...
I put my immersion chiller in the last 15min of the boil. I don't usually worry about the loss of boil since the wort is still hot. You will still get a small amount of bitterness from your 10min hop addition but it will be further reduced by the drop in wort temperature. Since your main...
Your recipe sounds good! The amount of bittering you get from the Columbus hops in the boil should get you close to your goal of 60-80 IBUs. You will not get any bittering from dry hopping. You will get mostly aroma and some flavor. I would leave out the Warrior and just go with the cascade...
