How do you wash a standard keg?

They use a pressurized cleaning system. A brewery worker was actually killed from a keg exploding while he was cleaning it. I want to say it happened at Red Hook Brewery. Did you guys hear about that?

    New female brewer from PA

I original was going to make a coconut Brown. Have you tried Kona Brewing Company Coconut Brown?!?! Delicious! But now I'm brewing a coconut porter. The recipe I'm following is found on this forum.

When to add coconut for best flavor under certain situation

Thanks for all your responses! I'll toss the coconut in the primary the night before I leave next Thursday. Now I just got to hunt down some coconut. The Wally world by my house doesn't have it on the shelf anymore. You guys rock!

When to add coconut for best flavor under certain situation

I've got a starter going right now for a coconut porter I'm brewing this weekend. I was just offered a work related trip on the 8th for 2 weeks I definitely don't want to turn down. So here's my dilema. The recipe calls for a coconut addition in the secondary where as I will be gone at the time...

Help with starter for a 10 gallon batch of coconut porter.

First off here is a link to the recipe https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f126/coconut-porter-245701/ I've never made a starter but I understand the gist. Shaking as much as possible if you don't own stir plate, tin foil on top not an airlock, sanitize, sanitize, sanitize. I wouldn't even be...

    Yeast starter question.

About to make my first all grain with a receipe I found on HBT which is a Coconut Porter. I've done all grain before but only using kits. Its a 10 gallon batch size that calls for 4 packs of London Ale III. The LHBS only had 2 and told me too make a 3 quart starter. I don't have a stir plate and...

Places in or near Raleigh, NC?

As far as big Boss goes awesome place tours are free I think every third Saturday of the month and 3 beers for 3 bux. If your hungry call ahead and ask if they are going to have any food trucks there that day. IMO Raleigh food trucks have some pretty good food.

    moving on to five gallons

My first batch was a 5 gallon but the easiest way to jump from a 1 to a 5, I'm assuming your doing extract brews would be to get an already put together extract kit from your lhbs or online. Most come with step by step instructions to help you out as a beginner.

The tap house is an awesome place. I went to the one in Hawaii. 2 happy hours a day except Friday and Saturday.

    Homebrew sites at work.

Anybody know any beer/homebrew sites you can access at work? All the ones I've tried are blocked under category: alcohol. There's only one I've found and its kegcowboy.com.

    Low income brew sesh!

I have a friend that washes and reuses yeast which saves a considerable amount of money. I'm eventually going to try to get into doing it as well. For a cheap all grain a simple German Hefeweizen is fairly cheap 8 pds of grain and 1 oz halletauer hops.

    Kegging

My guess would be yes. It would have to be fully fermented so it doesn't build up carbonation in the keg. Once you transfer add C02 at serving pressure 0-10 psi purge a couple times to get oxygen out and your good to go this is just a guess though. I guess it would be like serving draft water.
