I work nights and 50-75 hours per week. It's hard getting to everything in a timely fashion.

    2 recipe questions

1st question, I brewed a 5 gallon batch of Biermuncher's Centennial Blonde Easter Sunday. It sat in the primary until 2 days ago when I racked it to the keg. It was in the kitchen on the floor the whole time. Will there be any unwanted tastes or smells? I have made it previously but always...

Got 3 Corny pin locks in a cl buy, now what?

I bought a bunch of AG stuff from a guy on CL and he included 3 corny kegs with a 5 lb CO2 cylinder with a newer dual gauge regulator. I work 60-75 hours per week so I do not get much time for research. I know I want to build a keezer but I live in a 1 bedroom efficiency. I have room for a 5 cu...

I wasn't lucky enough to catch mine. The bung and airlock impacted the ceiling. 5 gallons BM centennial blonde. Less than 12 hours it blew out. I was at work. LOL. US-05 starter.

PO gave me a bunch of misc stuff not mentioned in the ad. 5 lbs flaked maize, a bit of chocolate malt, rice hulls, campden tabs, carb tabs, irish moss, yeast nutrient, 1 lb corn sugar, .5 oz priming sugar and a large beergas cylinder. PO said to carb with CO2 and switch to beergas for serving...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Making 5 gallons of BM Centennial Blonde. 3rd batch. Also trying to squeeze in a 2.5 gallon batch of a vienna NB SMASH. Not sure yet of the hop schedule.

All-grain beer brewing equipment/system. These are heavy revere-wear copper bottom boil and mash pots that have false copper bottoms with ball valves and braided stainless steel hoses. They hold temperature very nicely. Main pots are some of the last (Revere stopped making the copper bottom 5...

Used food container as Fermentor for small batches?

I was going to prepare them for airlocks if they performed well. My local doughnut shop sells buckets also but they are sold out for the next 90 days. 4.5 gallon buckets are $1.50. Not sure if lids are included.

Used food container as Fermentor for small batches?

Thanks for the input. Filled with water both are surprisingly stable. You do have to pick them up from the bottom. I was not going to use an airlock as my LBK did not use one. (lost all my brew equipment when I got divorced) Thinking of doing a MO US Northern Brewer and a Vienna US Northern...

Used food container as Fermentor for small batches?

I recently purchased some pretzels and animal crackers that came in large plastic containers. 1 is 1.5 gallons and the other is 1.88 gallons. They are similar to big mouth bubblers and are HDPE 1. Really interested in trying some test batch smash recipes. However, I do not want 5 gallons of beer...

    Hello from Cleveland

In Painesville here. There is Little Mountain Home Brewers Association that meets at Willoughby Brewing Company. Recently moved back from SC and have not had time to go yet. I didn't find BIAB any harder than extract myself. Made Biermunchers Centennial Blonde twice and another ale from things I...
