Is a Refractometer/Brewfractometer worth the cost?

For me it's absolutely worth it. Not having to wait for a sample to cool is very convenient.

    HELP! Keg won't pour.

I've had a keg that wouldn't pour. The feed tube spun when I tightened the liquid post and was up against the keg bottom. I loosened the liquid post and adjusted the tube. All was good after that.

Any quick fix to raise fermentation chest temp

I use a 60 watt light bulb. Works great. I tried a 100 watt first and that was too much heat. My Johnson controller was cycling way too much. The 60 works about perfect for my setup

What Beers to drink on my Caribbean Cruise

Turk head amber in Grand Turk was the best local beer of the trip. Not anything special just better than a BCM. When you're in Sint Maarten try the guavaberry rum. Its made right on the island and is fantastic. If you like it bring some back as they don't/wont ship it to the states.

    Show your BIAB Stand/Set up

Lot of real nice setups in here. I love seeing the different varieties of brew systems. My control box operates my pump, exhaust fan, heating element and PID. The PID in auto mode takes care if mash temps and manual mode controls the boil.

    Show your BIAB Stand/Set up

The vent hood is roughly 30x30. I made it from 1x12 for the sides and 3/4 plywood for the top. The outside has 4 clear coats. The inside was coated with 2 layers of roll on truck bed liner. The exhaust is a 6 inline ran about 10' with one 90. I dont recall the brand of the inline but I'll go...
