Single Vessel eBIAB in 11 Gallon Bayou Classic with BoilCoil

Great build! I love the look of your condenser setup there. I would love to see more detail or see it in action.

    Brewcipher for iMac???

Or have a look at Brewers Friend, in my opinion a much nicer interface and works across all platforms equally being a web based solution. I use it from desktops, laptops, mac, windows and phones whenever i need to see a recipe or have a new idea. Never got the hang of the old style BeerSmith...

    Brewcipher for iMac???

I have never used this software but if you mean this: http://www.smallbatchbru.com/blog/brewcipher-spreadsheet-will-need-brew-day/ The download page has both an .xls file for Excel and an .ods file for OpenOffice which should work on the mac. You can also get Microsoft Excel for the Mac which...

Let me see that Spa Panel

30A ebiab system. 5 foot dryer cord coming out of the spa panel which sits on my dryer. 20 feet of 10/4 also coming out of the panel ending in an L14-30R that goes a short distance into my garage and connects to my panel.

Totally building an electric biab system

I don't have much in the way of a parts list but I kept the wiring diagrams in this thread up to date as things changed and they are currently exactly the way it is now wired. One picture I forgot to add is the cleaned up wiring in the panel, just wrapped things up with zip ties as I had...

My Recirculating eBIAB Bottom Drain Keggle Build

I guess I should have posted here as well, I changed direction on this build and decided to use my old boil kettle and drill it out for an element instead of the keggle for now. Maybe come back to this build at a later date. My new build was documented here if you are interested at all...

What I did for beer today

Switched the garden hose connections on my immersion chiller to camlocks to allow for easier usage. I can shut off from the location of the chiller without running over to the hose tap and back. Also I just hate garden hose and the connectors. Still no tubing but some nice easy to use 1/2"...

    Imperial yeast

Very interesting. Do you have a source for that info, I had not heard this yet. Sad, I love the can, and find it very easy to use.

    Element enclosures... ???

I used the TC element with L6-30 from brewhardware. If you do any type of CIP or recirculation cleaning I would just leave the element in and remove the cord. If you are taking to a sink I would remove the element and replace with a TC cap. The element seems quite solid, I am not worried about...

    Inkbird controllers

Personally I use the Inkbird ITC-308, its easy to use basically plug and play and does both heating and cooling which I use on my chamber. For my purposes it has been fantastic. Some of the other similar models just seem to add complexity like temp ramping and programability. I just want it to...

    Gigawort

You mention that you do BIAB and would like to continue doing that, keep in mind that this is not an all grain device. From the description: "Electric kettle, useful for steeping and boiling extract & partial mash recipes." From the Q&A tab: "We do not have plans to make an all-grain version...

    $10 Thermapen Knockoff

I also use the RTC-600C from ThermoWorks, fantastic thermometer for the price ($19). I would highly recommend it for people wanting something a little less expensive.

    Weldless Element w/ Integrated Plug

I used that same weldless bulkhead in my recent build. Highly recommended, it was super easy to drill and install. 5500W TC element with integrated L6-30P slipped right in. Makes for a clean and easy install, I would use again if I did another build.

    Ink bird controlling HLT element

This product of theirs can handle that element. I realize you are just trying to repurpose some gear but this probably the cheapest way to get that element running on a decent controller. https://www.brewhardware.com/product_p/tempcontrol_ipb16.htm

    Schematic Programs/Apps

I agree that this is a good idea. In my recent ebiab build I used Gliffy Diagrams for the panel circuit diagram. Gliffy is a Chrome App that is free to use. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gliffy-diagrams/bhmicilclplefnflapjmnngmkkkkpfad?hl=en I then used Adobe Illustrator for...
