    Used c brite to sanitize my bottles before bottling. It has a chlorine smell to it. Will that affect the taste of my beer?

    Using Hot Tap Water as Strike Water

    Not sure how it affects the beer but a chef friend of mine says to always start a boil with cold water. Something to do with the hot water removing particles from the pipes and would end up in the food. I assume it would be the same for brewing.

    Meant bottling bucket. The guy at the local store told me to add it when I add the coffee. Tasted it when I took a hydrometer reading (OG1.072-FG 1.020) and it tasted good. Thinking about not adding it at all. How will that change the overall taste?
