    Can't get real hop flavor

Sometimes this is harder on an intermediate sytem, where you have the immersion wort chiller in the kettle last 15m to sanitize. Cant remove it and it interferes with lid going back on tightly.

    Yeast Nutrients

Used it originally early on. But then kept forgetting to put it in. NEver had an issue. I think my healthy yeast starters combined wiht a good mash is all it needs. Nutrients possibly just in case yeast not optimal?

Quickly carbonate flat beer - shouldnt this work?

I had a couple growlers of beer that gor flat. Buts super yummy so wanted to recarb it. Saw a video where people were using a Soda Stream to flash carb their flat beer. But didnt want to spend $80 on a Soda Stream I would only occassionally use. So I bought a Farroday Stainless Steel...

    Hop shots are like napalm

Used my first hop shot. Leassons learned and questions. Lesson 1: dont put some on your finger and taste it. A bitter explosion that remains on your tinguq for 24 hours. Lesson 2: careful cleaning that kettle. Some gets left behind and it sticks to everything - the scrubber, the kettle...

Resusing yeast - can you use the blowoff jar?

I had had some great fermentations of late. Last one left this blowoff bounty. Pretty sure thats mainly yeast cake. I guess infection might be an issue. But sure doesn look good!

    Stuck Fermentation... Help!

Just to possibly save effort, try shaking up the fermenter first. I had one last month I thought was stuck. A good shaking roused the yeast and I got the extra points I was hoping for, or almost. Stuck at 20, shake and rouse, ended at 14. Kind of the same idea of racking to secondary...

Kegerator via Craigslist- crash course in appliance diagnosis?

Yep, Im an idiot. There is a cage bottom right. Thats must be my probe. Going to see if she works a little better in a glass of water. I found the old threads on the bypass or new resistor. A little gunshy to try, it but may. With two kegs in there, and digital thermo at 36, I can never...

Technology never ends - last hydrometer you will ever need

I might not have spent enough time with my tilt. Does work generally for giving a sense of fermantation. Hydrometer never matches it in the end though, but good general sense of fermentation and whetehr its done (reading ot changing over time). BTW, what are the "Uncalculated" values on tilt...

Technology never ends - last hydrometer you will ever need

Enough already ;^) Anyone seen the Plaato digital airlock/hydrometer? Touted as the last hydrometer you will ever need. Uses the CO2 release as a measure. Release of CO2 being directly proportional to the chemical reaction rate - ie. how fast the yeast works. Although I always thought...

Chest freezer fermenter issues: equipment vs. User Error?

All better now. Having an actual vessel i there helped. And I did swap to a fermenator pad for heat. It does take this Galanz a while to cool, but once its there it seems stable.
