    First all-grain

Well boys, Didn't go as good as I wanted. I had a stuck sparge and had to try and salvage the best I could. I ended up three points off and may have tannins due to excess grain in the boil. On the bright side, I learned a couple of things today; I will correct these and move forward. Thank...

    Help

Not sure, I had 9.5 lbs of grain. I think my manifold is kind of shi$$y. I am concerned about tannins from too much grain in the kettle, but time will tell I guess. My first all grain wasn't a total disaster; I learned quite a bit. I just hope this comes out decent.

    Help

I just had a stuck sparge and had to run two gallons through a strainer and when I pulled a sample for a reading I noticed I had quite a bit of grain in my wort. What do you guys think? Am I screwed or should I continue? I know I won't get a good reading with grain in my hydrometer tube!

    Starter too cold

Yeah, I only have a very thin layer of Krausen on top; makes me wonder if it's stuck. If this is the case, will it be ok to pitch what I have?

    Starter too cold

Im not seeing any activity in my starter after two days. It is white labs Kolsch yeast with 32 oz of wart. I think it may be stored too cold(62 df). Do you guys think it would hurt to take it out of the fermenter, give it a swirl and let it set at room temp overnight? I have my first All-Grain...

    Dry hop

Hey guys, I am going to dry-hop for the first time and was wondering if I can throw hop pellets into my secondary without a hop sack? Also is there any sanitation I need to do to the hops? Any help will be great!

    American Pale Ale *3/16/2011*

Did you guys make a starter for this yeast? If not you may have put too much strain on it.

    My brew build

I like this. does the tubing coming from the tun to the BK just hang there with an elbow? Also, how hard is it to stir your mash?
