is it that much different then an oatmeal stout?

most websites i've looked at sell 5 gallon ingredient kits anywhere from $25- $35. i just bought an oatmeal stout kit for 30. But almost every imperial stout kit is $45-50. is this beer better quality, why is it more expensive then other varieties?

yea i got a stable reading 2 days in a row, and the company told me i could bottle 5-7 days after beginning fermentation. but will keeping it in bottle longer then 3 weeks improve anything?

i only did a 10 day fermentation. and yes my fermentation was close enough done to bottle. can i keep my beer in the bottle for a month, or will it be no better then storing it for 2 to 3 weeks?

by unusual i mean anything other then the standard 12oz brown bottles. recently i've found a sierra nevada, some large guiness bottles, and a bunch of green bottles from heinekin and becks. what are some other beer companies that use unusual bottles that arn't twist off? i got a couple blue bottles yesterday from bud light platinum....but i can use them cause there twist offs

got about 40 bottles from a friend... about 25 or so are twist offs just my luck.... do i have to just recycle them?

i think i might have bottled before fermentation was done... i heard if i open the caps a little to relieve pressure after a couple days then recap ill be all set. any truth?

i remember sam adams saying that green bottles block only 40 percent of the sunlight that brown bottles do and clear bottles only 10 percent. but they might just say that to try and sell their product.

exactly as the title says would you guys recommend using green and clear bottles? or stick with only brown
