Is it possible to die from drinking beer?

WIth Beer you would throw up and pass out long before alcohol poisoning. Only way I can imagine doing that would to purposefully buy a high alcohol easy drinking beer like a Belgium Triple and down them one after another. In normal circumstances you will get sick on beer and vomit it up long...

    Battery Powered Lawn Equipment

Kobalt battery weed eater and a Kobalt bush trimmer. Love it. On it's 3rd year. Quiet, lighter and faster RPM than gas. I only have to charge it maybe 4 or 5 times per summer.

Anyone go from all grain to extract, and how was it?

Well this is just crazy!!.... I am sitting here in the living room and I thought I heard water dripping... what the?? So I go towards where I am hearing it... it ain't water dripping... it's this beer!! It is fermenting away like there is no tomorrow. Nice looking, creamy krausen... what in the...

    I. MADE. BEER.

HAha.... I remember my first like that. I don't make/drink beer for the buzz... but I also remember being very excited when I got my first buzz on my own beer. It was the first 100% indication I truly made beer.

If I didn't know better, I would swear this was lager yeast.

This is my first Kolsch... what strain have you used?

If I didn't know better, I would swear this was lager yeast.

No...dang it, my typo - Safale 05. The ambient temp is 62, the ferment strip is I would say 66-67 Edit: Oh for Christ sake... the recipe was S-05... I grabbed the wrong package. Well... 04 indeed drops faster than 05. Well this might be an interesting beer.

If I didn't know better, I would swear this was lager yeast.

First time brewing a Kolsch, the only grain is Malz German Pilsner Malt. (Yeast is Safale 04) Take a look at the pics, one is a close up of the bottom that has a good 3" of very active, bubbling layer that is "erupting" little plumes of debris. The 2nd pic is the top...which only has bubbles...

How many gallons brewed in 2020

Had to look it up... 10 gal Brown Ale 15 gal Honey Pale Ale 10 gal IPA 5 gal Kolsch 2569 + 40 gal = 2609

Anyone use any hydraulic lifts/tables for brewing?

Something like this... But maybe not $240. After brewing a Kolsch yesterday, and once again paying for it for several days of pain... I just have to find ways to eliminate as much lifting as possible. (I have RA) Something like this I am thinking for perhaps the brew kettle, I can have...

Why did I wait so long to mill my own grains...

For sure, at the very least 2 row

Why did I wait so long to mill my own grains...

Lovin it. First time use for my new Barley Crusher. Set my gap at .28. Holy moly I hit the numbers absolutely perfect. Placing all of my readings into Beer Smith it measures my Mash eff. at 86.3%...never got that high. And my overall BH eff at 72.3% I was laughing at how well I hit the numbers.

First time with Barley Crusher and BIAB

The crusher arrived, very surprised to see NB sent no instructions with it whatsoever. It is fairly self explanatory, but would have been good to have a simple slip that shows you how to adjust the rollers instead of going to youtube to find out myself.

    The CRAZY cold weather...

Well.... it looks the problem is the grains. Just sent a message to the HBS who supplied the grains. I pitched new yeast yesterday around 4pm... 24 hours later... nothing. The new yeast has done nothing. I am going to guess that the grains were terribly crushed, or they forgot to crush parts of...

    The CRAZY cold weather...

You know I forgot to change the variable, left it at 1 - so you are right. Nevertheless, same conclusion... it wasn't done. Cheers

    Attempting to wash yeast.

To clarify.... are you saying to save the trub from the fermenter and toss that in?? How much? Certainly never heard this before

    The CRAZY cold weather...

So I remember I did change the grain bill a bit, so I entered everything into Beersmith with accurate water amounts and gallons of wort afterwards. My OG was probably very close to 1049. The refractometer Brix is just above 9.... let's say 9.2. That would make my est. ABV at 2.69%...waaay...
