How did I do for this CO2 tank

I use to do the same with my 10# tank, after realizing that it only cost $4 more to fill a 20#, I now use a 20# tank for transfers and a second 20# tank for dispensing. I keep my 10# and 5# tanks for when I dispense homebrew remotely.

How did I do for this CO2 tank

I don't understand a place like Airgas charging a hazmat fee as they are in the business to fill/transport/sell a variety of bottled gasses. 🤔 It appears the hazmat fee is based on the total # of CO2 purchased. Last time I was charged $12.20 for 40# [(2) 20#] of CO2. 5 years ago I was charged...

How did I do for this CO2 tank

It only cost a few extra dollars more for a 20# refill from a 10# refill. Dollar wise the 20# is more economical unless you have a CO2 leak.

    Coffee maker with grinder

I own a variaty of coffee machines. My favorite is my vacuum coffee pot, but it takes the longest to brew a cup. The Jura crapped out and I replaced it with the counter top Miele which get the most use as it is produces the quickest espresso/coffee as well as a stronger cup of coffee which I...

Drill hole in lid/top of chest freezer?

The lid is a thin piece of sheet metal on the top with foam in the middle and plastic on the bottom. Nothing to break.

    DIY CO2 Tank Stand?

Correct that is a toilet paper holder, I have a flow meter mounted to the handle, makes it easy to lug around.

    DIY CO2 Tank Stand?

Nothing fancy, just some chain and a chain quick link to keep the CO2 and Oxygen tanks from tipping over.

    What type of coupler needed?

Looking at the photos, my guess is that keg requires an S coupler. A D keg has a ball on the top for sealing where the S keg has a slight dimple. I measured a S and D coupler fully extended and the S coupler extends about 12mm longer. A D coupler will couple to a S type keg but the plundger...

NEW Product Announcement - Spike Solo Panel

Are you off the grid that you are using a generator or just brew in an area without 240V power?

NEW Product Announcement - Spike Solo Panel

The other important info missing are the electrical specifications (Voltage, maximum heater load, recommended circuit breaker rating, power plug NEMA type).

Look on page 4 of the user guide, it shows an illustration of the cords. Not sure why the power switch is buried in the back of the unit. 🤔

    Corny ball-lock to Sanke Tap

But maybe the smokers wouldn't mind?

    Corny ball-lock to Sanke Tap

Or figure a way to adapt a CO2 fire extinguisher to top off a keg.

    Corny ball-lock to Sanke Tap

Bring in your kegs pre-charged with CO2, when they need a recharge wheel them out to the parking lot and charge them back up. Similar to smokers having to go outside for a smoke.

    Illinois Chicagoland Area Homebrew Stores?

Good catch, sorry I looked up Chaos website and didn't realize it was for last year. Chaos has their own clubhouse equipped with brewing equipment since most of it's members live in the city with little room to brew. I am bringing a Hefeweizen for Urban Knaves of Grain (UKG) beer club.
