Pulled my goods out today and realized something, the safety cap from my siphon( top) must have come off in my sample thief (bottom) last time I used it. Anything I can do here? I am willing to destroy one if need be to fix the other. Thanks,

I used my wine theif once and the cap on the end of my siphon came off inside it. I guess they are ruined wtf! N00b

I agreed pretty standard, nothing spectacular , cracked mine tonight.

They were dry whole leaf, the top layer still is dry. I'll try cold crashing, I'm not really not sure if pushing them in is a good idea at this point. Next time I'll bag em, and make em sink!

alright, i am, just opened today to check specific gravity. Most of them are still chilling out on top. Didn't use a sack or any of that, because it didnt seem to matter consensus wise on here. When I rock to bottle should i just assume they will be sunk by then, or work around them? thanks

I have a leftover gallon from a batch made 2 weeks ago, also some in a spray bottle. Dump and start over or still trust it?

I think the bottle definitely was the initial selling point for me, a much better style than the traditional Sam Adams labels. I like Boston lager alright if I'm in like an airport for example (which is frequent) other wise Sam family of brands isn't really my thing either

I just brewed this kit too, it's my first attempt so my details might not be a trustworthy but they seem similar to the rest of this thread. Had an OG of 1.072, after 8 days (2 without airlock activity) I ended up at 1.020. Decided to dry hop in the primary and let it sit for another week...

It just doesnt have that crisp bite I expect out of a euro style pils. No enough saaz perhaps? Dunno, just a little dull which is uncommon for southern tier, they usually have good product

It's just okay, I love most of southern tier's offerings but I feel like they missed the mark a but on this one. It's a good , comparable pils, just not my favorite. I'm gonna stick to great divide nomad or left hand polestar before I go for this again.

I agree with that sentiment. Never really liked the latitude 48 ipa as much as the other offerings out there.
