    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

I broke my Pi 3B+ the other day. I updated some FW and then couldn't connect to the wifi, so I brought it all back upstairs fiddled with it, and no matter how many times I rebooted it connected each time. Put it back in the garage and no connection. Over and over, back and forth. Along the...

Thinking about my next brew rig...

Nope, it was a whim of a post and only posted because of the single video. If no one had any negatives, I would have stayed the course and probably built it. The 3 Vessel system is what I was taught so many years ago, 3 vessel is what I know. Heck, I still use buckets. I'm quite happy...

Thinking about my next brew rig...

I've been doing some thinking about replacing my 18 yr old brew system comprised of 3 keggles, 2 burners and a metal stand. I am planning to move to an electric setup, most likely running on CraftBeerPi. My new setup will be built most likely with new kettles etc so I can either pass on/sell...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Yup read that, I think my first question on Node Red is if we have CBP2/3 controllers, do we need to make changes in the hardware/wiring/expansion boards, etc, or can we continue with existing designs and hardware choices?

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

I'm starting a POC build for Node-Red and Fermtrack use, but wondering if there are other promising projects to replace CBP3. I've been using CBP3 for a couple of years with no issue on my Ferment and Keg Mgnt, but just looking for a supported platform. With CBP4 stalled and no commits for a...

Updating my fermentation setup, edumacate me plz

OK, I've been pretty much doing this for 15+ years, but really haven't been involved in the forums for a good 7 years now. So I'm a little lost and playing catchup with the changes in the last few years. I love my buckets and ferment in a chest freezer. I started down the path of switching to...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

With the CBP, you can not only manage that power but also report on beer temp, cold plate temp, tower temp.... also you can kick on fans for recirculating or cooling the compressor. With some additional mods, you can read beer flow or weight to manage a tap list with available beer to predict...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

That's my main usage today. I manage my kegerator and my term chamber. I have yet to build my brew controller and electric system. Works perfectly.

    CraftBeerPi 3.0 - Electric Brewery

Can you share a few more detailed pics for me of your box? I'm planning on a small 2 relay board for my freezer and possibly my kegerator. Your box appears to be the same cantex box I picked up. How are your temp probes connected, pass through or are those actually some sort of ethernet...

Pi - Control Panel Mounting on the brew rig

OK, I'm building a replacement fermenter controller, but that project morphed in to possibly going all electric. Please understand I built my setup in 2004 for propane with zero automation. Heck, I still move my propane tank burner to burner... So as I scratch my head re-boxing my pi along...

Blonde Ale Miller Lite (Really Triple Hopped)

Exactly, I've brewed variations of this many times. Quite often a hit with the ladies or the girlie guys. As to secondary, I have preached to not secondary, avoid that transfer. I have simply dumped the amylase enzyme direct, I've also pre-boiled and re-boiled water then mixed the powder...

    YA Counterflow Question

OK, building a CF chiller, using some 3/8 soft copper and an old drinking hose... Ready to assemble but questioning my roll up. I know many suggest using a corny, but I don't want a round chiller, I'm thinking oblongish. I have 2 4 inch PVC pipes about 12 inches apart, would a half wrap of...

    Scrub Master 3000 Version 2.0

OK, here is my Spray Master 6K I can clean kegs, Carboys, buckets, and keg lines. My buckets have a spigot in them, I use them for primary, I have it setup to allow me to completely wash and flush the bucket AND spigot. The pump is the Hydrostar Harbor Freight 290 Gal pump (~$15)...

    Scrub Master 3000 Version 2.0

The pics were there a few days ago... help! Need some pics. For the keg lines, I saw a pic maybe related build for the MFL 1/4 looked like someone tapped a PVC cap.... I use mostly PinLock with a scattered ball lock setup.

    Bucket Washer

OK I use a 260 GPH pump to clean my carboy and kegs. I really don't use the carboy much except that I tossed all my buckets and am buying new buckets as I go. Buckets are normally all I ferment in, love em. Cheap and effective. I'm trying to figure out my bucket washer. I used to do a...

Cam Locks - simple question really...

Thanks all, that's was my intention but this kid gets all upidy when you challenge him on it... Fact of the matter is, they were way over priced, I'm estimating with shipping I'll be at half their cost. I'm just happy to rid my rig of those brass mcmaster car QDs bobby or someone suggested...

Cam Locks - simple question really...

I went to my LHBS a few days ago to pick up some camlocks. I was planning an assortment of A and F items and 2 of the cam lock devices for the hose ends. The kid at the LHBS suggested I place the cam locks on the keggles and the A and F plugs on the hose ends. This is reverse of what I...

    CFC - 18 ft copper 3/8 found

So I was moving some stuff around in the garage and came acorss approx 18 ft of 3/18 copy tubing. This was cut from the line set for my AC install years ago. Is 18 ft worth the trouble of building a CFC to augment my existing IC?
