Such thing as too long of beer lines?

What is the ID if the lines you are running and what pressure are you pushing at? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Such thing as too long of beer lines?

Thanks for the reply. I never thought the length would restrict the flow that much to where it's a slow trickle out of the faucet with CO2 pushing behind it. I'll trim off a few feet at a time and see if I can find the sweet spot for the system. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

Such thing as too long of beer lines?

I just built a 5 tap keezer and bought 100' of 3/16" beverage line. I figured I had extra so I might as well make the lines extra long to prevent foaming. I ran each line 15' long and the tails on my shanks are the super skinny tails that are like 1/8" almost. The problem is at 11psi and 42...

    Haier Dual Tap S.S. Kegerator

I'm in Santa Barbara, CA. I can look into shipping, but due to the size I think the costs might be prohibitive. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Haier Dual Tap S.S. Kegerator

Haier dual tap stainless steel kegerator. This unit will hold (3) 5 gallon ball lock kegs and a 5 lb. CO2 tank. The unit was purchased from the beverage factory in San Diego. It runs well, but I am upgrading to a 5 tap setup so I am parting ways with it. The unit is currently setup to dispense...

Is a Grain Mill worth the effort and expense?

A means of grinding your own grain is a definite step in the direction of further honing your craft. I bought a knock off corona mill 5 years ago and it's still going strong! Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Scaling down your operation

I ended up with the best of both worlds, a 2.5 gallon EBIAG system and a 5/10 gallon system. I have 2.5 and 5 gallon kegs; the flexibility is awesome. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

How old is your oldest beer? (And is it drinkable)

I have a bottle from my first brew ever, a fat tire clone, brewed 7 years ago, that stares at me every time I open the fridge. It mostly likely will taste so-so, but I can't bring myself to pop the top and get rid of the last bit of evidence of how far I have come. Sent from my iPhone using...

    SS growler top blew off

I have had screw tops under pressure that "pop" when I have about a quarter turn left. I am assuming as the threads taper towards the end the pressure overcomes the friction of the threads. I own a growler just like that an I think it would be highly unlikely for the top to go from snuggly...

    SS growler top blew off

Do you think it worked its way unscrewed while you were riding, or do you think it built up so much pressure it blew the top off past the threads? Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Flaked Wheat

I wash and reuse the bags over and over and I would recommend decanting the liquid off the top of the yeast cake (post cold crash) and pitching the slurry at the bottom. If the beer is dark/ malty you could pitch the whole thing, but why risk it. There is my stab at two out of your three questions.

    Ris coffee grinds added infection?

I typically cold crash as cold as I can go for a day or so and then use a auto siphon with the black end cap. That seems to limit any transfer. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew
