The Wiring to my EBIAB Element Fried - Help

Thanks! I will get to it this weekend. When you say re-wire, if I pull the cord, cut 8" off and everything looks good, should that be ok to re-install. Or are you thinking I should put on a whole new power cord in addition to checking and inspecting all of the components?

The Wiring to my EBIAB Element Fried - Help

Thanks for the reply's guys. I don't have thin skin so no offense taken. I purchased this system so i am still figuring out what the original owner did. I should have taken the time to build it so I would know it better, but I jumped at a great opportunity to buy a previously assembled version...

The Wiring to my EBIAB Element Fried - Help

So about 45 mins into the boil of my last brew session my temp dropped to about 201 and wouldn't climb. I messed with everything I could think of and let things limp across the finish line without figuring anything out. After things cooled down I pulled things apart, I found the insulation on...

Funny things you've overheard about beer

A stewardess on a recent flight I was on was pouring a red from a north west brewery and the glass ended up being half foam. She looked confused and said "all that foam is because the beer has so many hops in it". Hmmm, I think it's cause you poured it into the glass too quickly after shaking...

Chocolate Banana Stout - Adding the Bananas

If you search for it you will find your answer. Many people have racked onto frozen bananas with great results. I think Yoopers also did a banana wine which might be sort of helpful. I say rack onto frozen ripe bananas and let it go until it tastes amazing.

    Brew Day w/ Photos - Feb 21

Thanks for sharing that. Why the autosiphon instead of using the ball valve to drain into the kettle?

    Defining english vs. American?

Double Haul from KettleHouse brewery in Missoula MT won gold in the English IPA category at the GABF and their beer uses Montana grown malt and cascade; the yeast must be the deciding factor?

Who's taking their beer to share on NYE 2014?

Taking a growler of a saison, as well as a growler of the imperial stout I brew every New Year's Day and tap the following Christmas Eve tonight. ~Cheers!

    Keeping my IPA fresh

If I'm brewing 10 gallons I tend to brew a recipe with a middle of the road hop nose into the keg, and then add a bunch of keg hops right before tapping it. It seems to be the best middle road between brewing 5 gal. vs. 10 gal. of an IPA at a time. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Thousand Oaks, California

That does look nice. I was going to do a few sacks of American pale, and there English pale might work out nicely. I was hoping for a sack of some white wheat, but it doesn't look like they carry anything similar. If we decide to go this route, without filling a pallet, I can fill my order from...
