    Have you found anything helpful about hop allergy. I know their jokes are hard to resist. I suspect the same. Last 20 gal. batch that went extremely well (as far as screw ups ) blurs my vision after 1 or 2 and after three well into the next day. It's about 6.5 abv. Could be something else...

    First all grain

    I insulated my brew pot to use as a mash tun Worked Great. 30.3 eff. Washed it out and used as boil pot without screen and false bottom. 1st question - How do you keep scorching at a minimum if you used the false bottom for boiling? 2nd Question - Fruit flies - never knew anything about them...

    10 gal. aluminum pot 10 gal. stainless 16 gal. brew pot false bottom(3/32 holes,seems large),screen and temp gauge 30 Gal. stainles All but one have spigots Can you keep a mash temp in a pot with a gas burner or do I have to insulate somehow?

    If you start with .072 and end with .018 besides a good buzz does that mean you have more sugar left? More calories? Bad for diabetics?

    thanks for the replys I've had a strange after taste with every batch no matter what recipe.Kinda like Long Trail. The only common was water. So did a full boil this time and think it's gone. I could do the ice but could it cause that taste again? No more bottling for me, got 4 pinlocks...

    Took 45 minuites to chill to 70 deg., too slow? Cause I got the chill. Haze that is.
