    Couple questions about my ciders.

Just normal tea bags ( seen a lot of people saying it adds tannin which gives the cider more body ) The honey is just a jar of honey from the super market, I know its not amazing stuff ( its 100% honey though ) but its sweet, should add something else that sugar wont.

Well thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I couldn't help myself and syphoned it into another demijohn. In about 5hours it became rather clear and smelled lovely. I took another 1 litre of apple juice and topped it up then transferred into bottles to get a little fizz. Im sitting drinking a...

    Stopped bubbling, now what?

I created some cider and some basic wine about 6 days ago. I made 5 litres of cider and 2 litres of wine. The wine finished fermenting very quickly as I used a whole packet of yeast and the cider stopped bubbling yesterday. Now, this is my first ever attempt at home brewing and I'm kind of...

First time attempting to make some sort of cider.

Thanks for all the replies. I will purchase a hydrometer and read up on how to use that. One thing that I'm still a little confused about is the quantity of yeast I should use. I have read that people use 1 tea spoons worth, if that's correct is it a level tea spoon and also does it really...
