I have one that isnt specifically related to brewing but everyone that finds out i brew asks if it is, it is a wooden barrel and a bottle with some other stuff around it so i can kinda see why they assume its related to brewing

Online store keeping me on edge

Doesnt really sound like a horror story actually. You were wronged and the company tried to fix it, there was confusion and they tried to fix it again, when you decided that you didnt want a replacement product they decided to be nice and refund your money, as a good company should do. the funny...

    Second batch.. Bottle questions

also Im not sure if you are using bottling bucket but if you aren't I recommend one, it makes it much easier to leave trub in the fermenter and keep it out of your bottles. Your idea for whirlpooling makes sense just not in this phase of the brewing process, try it after you chill the wort...

    Next Day Carbination in Bottles?

it depends on the style of beer, some take longer to carb, i happen to think that all my beers taste better carbing for at least three weeks than ten days and gladly wait longer for better beer. I would go more along the lines of what this guy said than the directions.

    Next Day Carbination in Bottles?

Though the bottle seams to be carbed overnight it isnt properly carbed. here is an example of the different stages that beer goes through. beer doesnt carb overnight, plus aging it wont do any harm.

Took a trip to the Off license (beer store) today.

I just got back from Ireland yesterday and tried a few of those while i was there. The belfast black says its a dry stout but i thought it seemed more like an oatmeal stout and when i read the bottle it said that it was made with oats, but I still enjoyed it. the belfast lager was good too. I...

    how many secondary regulators?

I think that you can get away with the three aging on one reg, and the stout faucet is going to need a nitrogen tank so that will be seperate. That leaves the five, it depends on what you like but I think that if you had two regs for the five that would leave you with plenty of options. you...

    trying to enjoy wheat beers

There seem to be quite a few things that sound excellent that would make a good beer, as someone posted earlier something about blod orange hefe. something like that catches my eye but i just seem to not be into wheat beers so that kind of keeps me from making something like that. I will still...
