One thing is if you are not going to brew right away, the crushed grain may absorb some moisture from the air and not be as fresh when you get around to brew. I don't live close to my LHBS, so I'll pick up the supplies when I get a chance and brew later on so I need a mill to keep my grains fresh.

How do your older beers taste? Or do you finish a batch before you brew another one. I'd bring one over to the Homebrew shop to have them taste it. If it all taste fine up until bottling may be you can describe your bottling procedures so someone can analyze it. Or check out Revvy's bottling FAQ...

I have found that if you really want a particular item but for whatever reason you settle for something else that you will eventually get the desired item and more or less end up wasting what you spent on the lesser item. So if money is not a problem for you then I'd just get the Brew Magic like...
