    Brolke Down and got a Greem Mountain Pellet Grill today. Did burgers to season the grill and the family said best ever, I have wings and shrimp on now and plan on ribs on Sunday. So far so good

    Anyone ever use these? They look great, smoke with wood pellets like a stove, and have temp control. A bit salty at $900 so i would like some feedback if anyone has used one. Thanks so much!!

    Scavenging bottles and bottle boxes

    look for a beer at local beer dist called Straubs...I think thats the name. It is a beer brewed with less sugar. great bottles, heavy, 16oz, and a kick a$$ heavy box. I get them in pa for $3.00 a case. They are the returnables that most places carry here.

    My keg tastes terrible.

    I use OXY Free with real hot water when I get the kegs. Between fill ups I just dont soak as long. I love oxy free because I can tell when it is all rinsed clear by the squeaky clean feeling. If not clear you still have that slight slimy feel.

    I goofed! AG problem

    Can you do a full 5 gal boil? If so why not just two times through the mash cycle. Split the grain do a mash. Then do the rest a second time and boil. If nasty's get in the first while you wait you are going to boil any way. Or is that too simple...Let the beer Yoda's chime in. I am still a noob.

    The next beer will take off like a rocket. I had one finish in under 12 hours from the time I pitched. I still do it but I may take 1/2 the old cake out or even a little more.     Beer is just hammering the air locks and blow-off tube. I dont think any bugs stand a chance with the super yeastie beasties. SWMBO always flashes the beer so I think they are working extra hard.

    Yep Jet it was a good one. One of the buckets is chugging along this morning the other with the blow off tube is still a little behind. Starsan in the airlock is always so pretty with the shapes it makes.

    Hello all. I save some yeast from 2 different batches a few weeks ago and am going to do a batch tonight. Both of the lids on the jars have a dimple on top and hissed a little when I opended them. I shook the yeast up to mix and when I opened the lid it foamed. Still smells like beer and yeast...
