Well damn. Sorry it disappointed. You’ve responded to several of my threads. If you want to PM an address I’ll crank the amps and send a bottle your way once it’s done.
Once you get it I'd be curious to see what you think about it. Brewing this weekend and probably won't be able to do it this time, but homefully a month from now I'll have a decent place to start.
Thinking maybe use Citra/Mosaic during the boil and dry hop with some of the others?
Definitely haven't used that many myself for sure. It tasted more bitter than 45IBU to me but who knows. If it's near and available I would definitely recommend giving it a try. Enjoyed it enough to want to try and brew it at least.
Want to try and clone Sierra Nevada's Powder Day IPA. They give a decent amount of info to guess the grain bill within reason, but I'm clueless as to how or where to start guessing their hop schedule. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I opted out of using the carbonation lid. Just put the gelatin in and pressurized to 30PSI. I'll check it tomorrow or the day after and see how it goes.
I'm going to be using gelatin for the first time, and kegging for the first time using a carbonation lid like the one filmed here. So far my beer has been kegged and sitting at 40F under 5PSI for 24 hours or so.
Should I add the gelatin mixture and carbonate with the lid at the same time or...
+1 on this. I wouldn’t have gotten into it if it weren’t for an old friend of mine who brewed. Join a local Homebrew club and I guarantee you’ll find someone willing to tag along. Most homebrewers (aside from the few “cool guys” you find in any hobbyist group) are super inviting and willing to...
First, thanks to everyone for the prompt responses.
Now that I have indeed mixed all the parts up is there a good way to adjust, or test, what will work? I only need one working keg for the time being. In day 10 of primary fermentation.
So I recently bought four used ball locks and I’ve stripped them all down to notice that some have springs as shown on the left and some on the right.
New to kegging so my error in not paying mind to which came from gas/liquid. Are these just two different styles or are they intended for one...
If you want to actually polish it I would recommend starting with 100G instead of 220G like I did. There were some spots I didn't get out that would definitely show up in a polish.
I ****ed up and bought two of these instead lol (second one is on the way). One for ferm and one for serving. They fit the kegs perfectly and plan on putting a 5lb tank on the compressor hump.
So Ive read through a few threads on here from people wanting to simply drop dry ice in their wort. I have a slightly different idea and need some constructive criticism.
Mix 2 gallons of ethanol with 2 lbs of dry ice. That mixture would rest in a ss kettle that would then be used like a...
